yeah well they can print trademark sounds onto new productions, but music tastes change over time and good producers will accomodate that by leading the way and being at the forefront of the genre.
not to seem rude dude, but you can only qualify this kind of statement if you are actively producing yourself. REmember, they are a duo who usually (back a few years ago) set trends and not follow them.

i see where you're comin from gil. but i dont think an artist should compromise their style just cos of trends. saying that, they could just adapt and still stay true to what they know and love but the hard thing is that their bread and butter is not as easily adaptable... what avenues do they have? prog-trance? hard-electro-trance?

thats exactly what i meant dude.. diversify in their own genre. Obviously dumonde arent going to start producing funky electro house because some trends are moving there, but if they can innovate on the hard style that they are good at then they will re-catch the attention of all or most of their past followers. Naturally any style after being hammered out for so long will need to be refreshed (* do not look at paul van dyk for support to this statement).

definately a valid point gil
it can be a breath of fresh air when artists diversify a bit, but a lot are scared to as a slight change in style might lose some of their fans..
