Nu-NRG is definitely worth seeing live. I danced my ass off the entire time when I saw them this past February here in NYC, unlike the opening DJ that night who just put me to sleep (Markus)

their live show is very nice. i like it. i might be biased but it's a lot of fun. see them dancing, performing, etc. it's just cool.

regarding the 'material' they play, there's so many tracks that they could do a live for 3 - 4 hours, however they don't. they try to keep it different as most possible, but there's always a few tracks people just die to hear- dreamland, connective, freefall; to name a few.

ciao x

Their hardly a true definition of the word 'live' as they just play tracks off their laptops (3 of them at Cream) and add live effects via keyboards etc. But i dont go and see them simply because the event bills them as 'Live'. Their awesome productions is what attracts me, hard euphoric pumping sets with so much energy, and the lads clearly enjoy themselves. Ive seen them twice in a year (same event) and they played totally different sets, with 'live' edits of the their own tracks to suit the mood

I was really excited to see em back in Feb due to their legendary Orgasmatron set, but I found their set to be pretty uninsprired, and me and my mates ended up going to listen to some random up n coming on one of the other dancefloors.

Was nice to hear Connective live tho

When i saw them in Australia, they were actually piss boring. The other djs playing before them were much more interesting than them tbh. I had high expectations for what they could pull off, no good.

Despite the fact that I harp on about them live so much I've never seen their liveact, and probobly never will, as they dont come to my part of the world. But from the livesets I've got they're very good. Check some of those out, but since we havent got any new (live recorded) sets for 8 months now, their playlist is gonna have a lot of new stuff that you wont recognise from listening to sets.

Even a shitty live act will always be more fun for me then a dj who sits there and basic mixes some shit.

How do U know exactly whats going on in their act... ie how much of it is actually live?
I heard that they actually use Traktor and mix tracks on their laptop and just use the keyborad for a few basic synth patterns over the top....
They use the same and kcik and bassline for hours on end and their music gets a little repetitive IMO.
I agree that they are good prodcuers, but I would rather see a DJ who plays a wide variety of stuff in his set.
