Women are fickle and make no sense. I've been harping on about this for a while but it's true. They say what they want, but then they go out and do the complete opposite... knowingly.
Here's an apt quote from bash.org taht sums it up:

I'm not saying that all women are like this all the time... but its reasonably good as far as blanket generalisations go.
