OBVIOUSELY if you remember why sasha left turntables he said, "too many people found the secret, and it isn't special any more."

You think hes going to tell you what he does? HAHAHAHAHA

mp3s are lower quality, AND, Ableton does not support mp3s..

hes really not doing anything ground breaking.

basicly chopping up the tracks in wav or aiff format then loading them into ableton. he uses that maven controller to control the different aspects of ableton. then (most likely) just minor edits to tracks, FX, etc. my guess is basiclly all he is really doing behind the screen is arranging and beat matching the tracks. infact i wouldnt be suprised if he had them arranged in the order he needed before hand. where the "trick" comes in is that not everyone has this experience and can actually get it to sound as good as he does. but there really isnt much magic behind it.

hawtin does it better imo...

He does seem to mix it up alot, i.e. running basslines of certain tracks under different synths. His essential mix was pretty crazy...those wavy gravy accapellas, but when I saw him live he got even more creative.

Tons of great tunes too man...the first hour is chock full of awesomeness, in my opinion. One of the songs I really really like is still marked ID though (right after Tiptoe)

Last time I saw him a few weeks back, he played that No Doubt track but with some different synths overlayed on it and some weird dark vocal. It was crazy.
