In Central Park? I think Flushing Meadows Park is better suited for it.

The Great Lawn is better suited, but neither would happen.
This isnt a real Ultra event, its only 6 1/2 hours with only 1 stage. The only thing to look forward to will be the after parties, than again, the only one that will probably be worth going to is Crobar.
And I dont expect to see Tiesto there, he only spins in NY Sun-Thurs... hes too good to be spinning on fridays and saturdays.

please... the west coast has coachella and burning man, which are probably much better parties than ultra.
also, you can't be serious about being afraid to go to new york? it's the safest major city in the US. i'd link the article that showed that but i dont remember where i read it...

yea actually you're right, i was gonna say something about that. i bet you the ultra in miami is more ghetto and dangerous than NYC...i have several friends who live in NYC and they said it's gotten a lot better and cleaner since Juliani has been around...and when i went on my first trip there, we drove around the central park area...it's beautiful! i was amazed at how big it is, i always thought it was just this little dinky park, lol. u can get lost in there easily.

NYC was considered the 5th safest city overall with a population of 500,000 or more (have to look up the overall rankings)
Atlanta was the 3rd most dangerous city OVERALL

Yea I agree but only because its closer to my house... convenience wins with me....the problem with FMP is that there wouldnt be enough parking for an event of this stature in the vicinity but the train stops right there which is convenient for public trans commuters.
In either case I will be there but I am waiting for the full line up to be posted. The rumors of who is spinning that I heard so far arent impressive but some friends of mine are flying from fl for this so I have to go regardless.
