For amps Alpine is the way to go...

I got an alpine 2 channel and a 4 channel V12 lying around(but I dont wanna part the system). They were installed in my old car which I ended up selling. Let me know if you want'em I can work out a price for you.
Boston Acoustics 5.4 pro series components
Boston Acoustics 6.5 rally components
Alpine 4 channel V12
Alpine 2 channel V12
Alpine 10inch sub

PM for details

I couldn't agree more. Ever since I put a system in the car I frequently drive, I stopped speeding and don't mind getting stuck in traffic. I like to leave SUPER early for wherever I need to go, and I like to spend as much time in the car as possible. I often remember to bring out a new cd more so than I remember the keys. Good sound in a car is key.

Yeah, it depends on the power requirements of the speakers. As long as you feed it at least 70-75% of the RMS power it should work well.

MB Quarts are really nice, but some of them are rated at 35W RMS, 80W max, so i would say its ok.

A lot of it depends on the car too. 1 sub will have more of a profound effect in say, a hatchback, than a sedan. I have a sedan and had 1 10" sub, i was happy for the time being. But it just blew a few days ago, so i think im going for 2 10s now.

Anyways, since i can assume you will be listening to EDM, i would recommend a 10" sub over a 12" in a sealed enclosure. It will sound very clean and accurate, the way its meant to be listened too =)
