MLS isnt that bad but its nowhere near the level of the european leagues. ive been to about 4 or 5 of the games and most of the people there were foreigners (mainly european and mexican) who just wanted to watch a game. i lost some interest in the league when beasley left. i dont really see how this league can compete against the european leagues when all the good young players want to play over there. the only reason would be if the mls teams could offer big money contracts for these kids but that wont happen for a long time, if ever. the mls does do a pretty good job of bringing in these double-header matches. the one game i went to was the US vs. Poland before the match and then Chicago vs. LA. the stadium was more packed for that match then any of the world cup games i went to here. but i think you have to accept it for what it is and that is a development type league. |
I understand what you're saying. The league needs imporvement in all areas. There's just not enough interest in this sport. Plus, most players don't have that many skills. They look like bulls running up and down looking for food. Quite sad. I have watched games since the league started. I found it funny how at the start of the league you had old players that were once good in their respective countries. They had the teams playing in crazy artificial fields. I hope the league
The double headers won't help the league but it's certainly a start.

Nobody is talking about the MLB here.

Of course not. Italy already has one of the best pro leagues going, so why should they care about MLS that's not in the same continent?
But there are helluva a lot of young kids starting to play footy in Canada, US and in China so yeah, in ten yrs, some of them are going to make big impact. |
I've seen many kids playing good soccer here. It just seems that as they get older they are taught to play like animals. Nothing but tackles. It's just horrible what they do to these kids.

ierxium is high or something wtf is wrong with you the MLS sucks and will never become big here or in Europe. NHL are not even playing and still more popular than the MLS. |
No man. I'm just trying to bring some attention to a league that should grow. That's all.

Ierxium is nuts starting a thread about the MLS in here I admire that.
haha elite players...as in only Eddie Johnson and Landon Donovan ? who else am I missing Irectum? o wait he lost a bet and cant answer me for a week
How bout them Miami Fusion!!!...o wait
went to 2 MLS games when we had a team but lost interest when they left, Ill keep supporting it a little I guess, I mean its all we got, its not THAT bad,one thing i ve always said is that because this countrys refs sucks overall, they really fuck up the flow of the games. |

Chivas USA is a lost cause. But again, I admire the president for making a team for this country. Now all he has to do is get some decent players in the team.
The league needs some good players. Nobody wants to see teams playing like dumb animals. Leave that animal behavior to the European teams.
