All this 'selling out' bullshit attitude is utter rubbish. Its a music BUSINESS. wake up people.
Well I'm sorry. I see music as an art form, something that touches you, that can change your life - not a way to get famous and make money. I wouldn't buy anything by any artist if I thought for one second that their track was released to "pay the bills".

Do it under a different name. Money is money, and money is good for you.

Yea, but what is going to allow you to pursue this art form if you don't have any money to survive on? I would argue that a person who truly loves the music will do everything they can to make it a lifelong career. This may involve sacrificing some of the finer artistic principles that he or she might value in order to create opportunities to express themselves in the future.

I would say that you should take the offer, make a remix under a different nickname, and hope for the best. This isn't something that happens every day !!
That's what I'd do. Although I'd have a helluva time coming up with a name that suits me that isn't DC76

show me the money i'd say and do it under a different name. you could sell your soul but just keep your trance soul
i'd also try introduce certain elements of my style into the cheesey mix just to really fuck up those cheese loving bastards.

totally agree on your post but these 2 things tho. i thought armand was already pretty known with Witchdoktor and Funk Phenonemon(sp?).
