..which actually isn't the real director's cut but just an alternate version the producers "forced" Scott to cut'n'paste.
The real director's cut is meant to come out on the Blade Runner Special Edition 3xDVD box. It is planned to include 3-4 different versions of the movie, a 1982 workprint, the original theatrical version (with the voiceover and happy ending), the "so called" director's cut (which is currently the only version available on DVD) and the real yet unreleased director's cut (with lots of previously unseen, unheard, additional and alternate scenes) which will be called just 'Blade Runner' because that version will show the movie as Scott originally would have wanted it to be like.
The 3-disc box has been in the works since 2002 but because there are some serious legal issues between Scott, the producers and a 3rd party. The production company that owned the rights to the movie went out of business, and they are now fighting over who owns those assets. It might be that we'll never see the box to be released and if it does, in what form.... *sigh*
