I can see you work hard on your melody - like me. I thionk melody is very important, half the freaks here only care about EQ, so dont tlet them put u down.

good stuff!

Personally, I think it sounds better with the hi's up more. With them lower it sounds dull. Thats why Armin's stuff sound so great. It's played through radios. FM comrpession puts massive hi's on it.

Thanks for the replies everyone

Updated:

Forgot compression on the 2nd melody, added efx, added more to the kick, and cut the hi's a bit.

the strange noise on your filter is probably down to your synth being far too overdriven, personally i think it sounds cool but you need a stronger bass to compliment it.

also, you are actually remixing the ferry corsten remix, not the original. still sounds pretty cool tho

nice ideas, kick is extremely weak thou can barely hear it. bass is also non existant which is the backbone of a club track

nice synths but they are very thinny dont really present themselves. the general atmosphere is good thou you have the right idea alright.

seems to be some major clipping at the beginning also.

keep at it man you'll get there

I'm almost sure Luke Terry uses Fruity Loops. He makes some mighty nice stuff with it Personally, fruity sucks and If I had the money to buy a new program and learn it as in depth as I know fruity, I would

As for the Ferry Corsten remix...oops

As for being overdriven...i'll have to lower all the other sounds as the main lead is up fully up or re export it from reason.

[sarcasm]Maybe I can get trancespeeder or DJ Lane or someone from party107 to do the vocals [/sarcasm ]

Thanks for the comments everyone, looking forward to finishing the song

I think the lead sounds great in your tune but the rest needs work, especially the percussion, and structure of the tune.

I find this fruity loops debate very interesting. I use Nuendo and I'm finding It produces a completely different sound to fruity. It seems that Fruity 'makes' things sound better easier. What i mean is I have to know more, and work hard to get things sounding right in Nuendo, its taken me years and still im not there.. - so Im asking myself why am i bothering with Nuendo when all around me I hear people banging out great sounding trance tunes in 10mins with fruity loops...!

And as for Luke Terry using fruity I thing he must, there something about his sound and your sound which is similar and has fruity written all over it. This is not a bad thing, but Ive realised you can see the difference. for example cheack out 'PEGs' tune called 'Chiba' he used Sx and vsts and there is a noticibale difference in sound..

anyway enough of my waffle anyone care t expand on these thoughts....

I disagree about fruity bigtime. It cant just sound like everyone elses stuff unless your not creative in the first place.

And fruity is great software and as proof i offer this.

In another post a person asked how they could get the delayed effect of hybrid/bt (when there beats sort of skip/shuffle)

there were alot of answers that seemed more like a major pain in the ass of a project like chopping the sample etc to make it sound just right.

With fruity its easier than hell.

All you have to do is load a sample into granulizer right click the hold button and edit events and u have that glitch effect wherever u need it.

There people that used cubase reason etc that didnt realize this.

Until u get tottaly in depth of fruity you really dont know its capabilities.Just like any other software you have to dig the hell out of it to find what u need. Its always there if you have the patience that is.

Fruitys not that easy of software.Maybe for someone to write a quick tune in.But im sure the tune wont sound good unless you know what your doing.

Its all a matter of what you like i guess.Fruity offers me a less stress environment and makes music creation fun.I had cubase and i got bored with its blahzey feel.Felt like i was in pc class in highschool running a boring word processing program.

thats how i feel bout that.
