Just as i was finishing up the last post, i got another call from Money Mart. The guy was now in hand cuffs. It looks like the cops got there in about 3 minutes, which is surprisingly fast considering that when i had a car accident, it took them 3 HOURS! I spoke to the cop, who took down my information and said that the guy is being taken to the station and charged with fraud. I'll be getting a call from a detective later today and will post with updates. I wonder who this guy is! |
I can't believe some people are stupid enough to honestly try to get away with fraud like this...
We had some guy @ HSBC try to use false identification and when I called to do an employment verification with the employer they said he hadn't even worked there before but stated he was there for 3 years as a parts manager... so next thing you know we look up the name of the person on Info-Direct and call the real person to verify the appointment scheduled and he had no idea.. so needless to say we called the fraud department at the cop shop, kept the appointment wtih the guy.. he came in to sign the documents and the cops rolled in right after him and out he went in cuffs... it was classic
The excitement that happens working for finance companies.. between fraud and robberies .. how much more will I see in my lifetime... brutal I tell ya!
