Well, from your posts I see that most recommend Gelsenkirchen & Dortmund as the places to be if I want the smaller town, good local interaction, and hot women mix.

Anyone else recommend the other venues???

Well actually the Dortmund and Gelsenkirchen recommendations are strongly connected with the posters' football club of choice. Both cities are part of the heavily industrialised "Ruhrgebiet" and they are far from beautiful and small. The girls aren't that hot either, at least in my opinion.
I'd tell you to go to Berlin, but you said it's too big.
Our capital has plenty of advantages though. The nightlife is superb, the women are hot, it has a very international feel to it, and the list goes on. You won't be bored there, that's for sure.

So far the only useful recommondation comes from TomTom, as he grew up in Kaiserslautern.

Oh and Leipzig is not that big.
You should also look into Cologne,it's a nice city. Acutally, your best bet might be to stay in Cologne and watch matches there and in Dortmund/Gelsenkirchen, it's not that far by train.

Another point to add is the nightlife in cologne, after the football games you have many bars where you can drink a lot of beer and so on ... especially the "Altstadt" and the south of the city are top ... also a good feeling in the stadium, but you have to go to dortmund all the way .. and perhaps schalke too

Dortmunds stadium is not particularly beautiful, but it is the largest one with a capacity of 68 000 visitors.

I'd choose Gelsenkirchen & Dortmund. Just don't drink the DAB beer

Berlin has the most beautiful stadium with a impressive history
