i dont know if you have ever heard of the zen terrorists but they do that sorta thing, they play at planet zogg in sheffield every now and then but otherwise they've pretty much retired from the scene.

im sure if you make a unique sound that is actually good and not just trying to play off the gimmick of being a "trance band" the nthe gigs will flow in, at least from more underground clubs where diversity within music is more appreciated.

Tortured Soul is a band out of NY i think who play live house. saw them live last summer.. they kicked ass.

there are plenty of techno bands that i have heard that are doing the same thing you do. not that i can name any though!
