Well for me the drug issue is all based on your persception and really a simple matter of weighing risks.

People use the word drug like a blanket to describe all drugs in one statement, when we know that each individual drug from alcohol to cocaine have vast differences. I don't judge all illegal drugs the same, anyone who does is kidding themselves.

Weed is no worse than alcohol, yet the government tells us alcohol is fine and weed isn't. Thanks, but I can decide on my own what I feel is safe and what isn't.

I started doing illegal drugs when I was 24 yrs old, I waited because I used to be a very anti-drug proponent. But when I experienced mushrooms for the first time I realized that my persceptions of right/wrong could be so jaded by society.

I don't recommend people do drugs, but I think life is about experiences and I think people need to ask themselves first if they are doing the drugs for experience, or are they trying to fit in, or even worse to escape from personal problems.

Calculated and casual drug use is not a dangerous thing, if you know what your putting into your body, you know the risks, I see nothing wrong with people doing drugs.. I do however have a problem with people who don't respect the drugs, because if you don't you can end up being ruled by them.

I have to of course say again that its education of drugs that should be a priority here, so many people don't know shit about drugs and yet everybody has an opinion on them.. How can people judge drugs if all they hear is "don't do drugs ads" and what other people tell you...

Like bhuddists say, take everything you know and learn it again yourself, don't accept anything as fact until you know it is so..

Lets not be sheep here, try to think for yourselves and not make judgements on things you know little of...

On par with what Thor said, I think that society often labels drugs and drug users as 'bad'. This seems like a simple solution, but the truth is that drugs are different for everybody. Some people are more liable to get addicted and abuse more than others. Futhermore, people who choose to use drugs are almost never 'bad'. Even if the usage is a problem they arent bad people, yet this is how they are labeled by the conservative massive, creating fear and propaganda that fuels the fires for 'The War on Drugs' and likewise. I am also not saying that everyone should be fucked up all the time or anything either. I try to stress knowledge. Learn about drugs, learn about health, physiology and psychology. Better safe than sorry.

Also it gets rediculous when people say drugs and alcohol. Alcohol is a drug, caffeine is a drug. Cigarettes can be pruchased by 18 year olds, but they are in many cases as addictive as heroin and offer little of the 'benefits' of drinking or smoking weed, etc. As in many different aspects of life again one should practice tolerance. Know what you are willing to do, how much and what. Also be tolerant of those that choose to do or NOT to do drugs. Everyone has their own reasons.
