I have an MD. I got it thinking I could download and take stuff from my PC into the MD digitally, with the USB connection. record from Cds or the net it said on the box.

no such luck, the USB sucks. you have to install between 1 and 3 drivers, which sucks. and can crash your computer, and you need the windows CD, which a lot of people don't have. then it routes your audio through your usb port, then into this little link thing, then into the analog out of the MD. you play something on your computer then the thing records it. which means, you have to play it at real time speed, to record.

lame. why don't I just do it analog then? why bother installing bunch of crap, when it doesn't do anything? guess I should have waited for the new ones.

hahahah!!!! unlucky mate! thats why i got a 6 gig mp3 player, coz i have cable net so to record the amount of music i download into minidiscs isnt practile, and what u said, wtf?
..u can just plug the stereo to stereo lead into ur speaker and then into the md player and hit record, the analog way, silly boys at sony

these new ones sound pretty cool tho, but everything can sound good, see what the real thing is like!

yeah, I bought a 6Gb nomad mp3 player too. I really liked it, but, a few things pissed me off about it. first off, it would turn itself off if you tried to do anything with it, like snowboard, firedance, or even walk down the street! also it was a bit too bulky to carry around. so I took it back.

the MD is smaller and cheaper, but still skips a little(giving it the snowboarding test this weekend)

I hate recording at realtime too, i mean, damn, if I just listened to it, then why do I need to record it?
