heh, thats exactly how i mix

all the channles are thrown up with the eq all the wya down and crossfader i nthe middle...then i introduce the bass, mid, his all slowly at particular parts of the song....way better than fading

but I have the djm 600 for this

hmmm....i usually have eqs at 9, 10.5 and 12 and then bring the upfader up and then i gradually introduce the other eqs with everything live in the headphones

the way you describe it means you just switch them all to zero then swap each one with both track at equal gain and thats the mix? surely that way it sounds too abrupt. however, i would say after a lot of practice you should be able to mix with all of the eq's at "zero" anyway, as far as i know having them at their lowest isnt a complete cut, or it isnt on most of the mixers ive used.
