back on subject, i like to start with either a chill out track
Illuminatus - Hope (Chill Out Mix) is a good one

or a tune with a beatless intro or even a track with spoken words, something to set the tone nicely, Space Manoeuvres - Stage One & Hooligan - Hear You Now (Grand Chillas Mix) are good opening gambits

just use a track that has an ambient intro. that.. or get some spoken vocals, let them play out, and then when the last word is spoken, loop it. then beatmatch over the loop.
