there used to be a site around comparing all the clones with the TB itself.. it had sound samples of the same pattern being played on all the clones and the TB itself.
mostly, besides the excellent circuitry in the 303 (which can't be bought in quantities of less then 20,000 these days) the hardest thing to replicate, is the slide function.
i believe nothing replicates the tb303's sound exactly, some clones do get close though.
the bottom line though, is i wouldnt buy a tb (the pricetag is too high), i'd buy this clone, i love the sound of it, and the interface seems easier then that of the tb.
check out what sven dedek managed to pull off with just two of those units and a 909.. under klang on that site
