explain why you need 3 different synths? You can basically have 6 synths going at one with the access virus.
Seriously more equipment doesn't make you a better producer.

You are right, more equipment doesnt make you a better producers but it does allow you access to a greater variety of sounds. I have never heard a copy of the tb that acutually sounds like the real thing. You immediately know when its right and when its a copy. The juno2 is the hoover machine. The access might do an ok copy, my nova does a fair attempt but there is no way commander tom/lisa lashes is gonna swap a nova for a juno2.
All synths sounds different, they maybe VA but its up to the programmer who codes the synth to decide what the saw/filters etc are going to sound like in use.
I havent hand 1st hand experience of the virus and i will before i buy because from what people say it can give me the harder/grittier sounds that my nova is lacking. The nova imho produces really warm, gently sounds mainly. It can try to squealch/pierce but somehow its not really its style. Ive demo'd the jp and within 5 min was hearing noises like I wanted to hear, so thjats why i want to get that.
Ive had my studio for about 5 years, and i havent added to it at all until recently, so now i just want to beef it up and give me the sounds that i want
Although first i have to sort out my really really poor midi/audio timing So im stuck sampling my nova for use with reason

stop by your local music shop and have a play with one, you'll fall in love
I just do i murder for a reasonable priced cs2x. I dont't have alot of money right now (someone have one?)
But if I had to choose for free, I would like to buy some shit like this:
- Nordlead 3
- Novation Supernova
- Yamaha Motif
- Tb 303 (just for the fun, not serious)
- The best sample cd's
- Etc etc etc

not serious?? They are sooo wicked...if I had one (or more) I'd prolly make it scream in about every production
Till that day I'll just have to sample rebirth....(which actually does a pretty good job)

A real 303 is a bitch to program and its sound is dated (albeit legendary).
Unless you had ~1000$ to throw away, or were obsessed with acid house or analog gear, then it wouldn't be a smart purpose.
Honnestly, we've heard all the possible 303 riffs imaginable.

Well have to disagree with ya on that one. I love the way you program it, and it allows you for sequences you can't copy with a pc-based sequencer (for instance the legato starts before the new note on a 303). Also I don't think it's "used up" nor do I think it sounds dated. $1000 is too much, I agree, for a monophonic synth. However, it's been tried a LOT and it can't be copied! gotta love that shit

well the TB 303is starting to sound a bit old, you really need new
iders and differences in music to progress, theres so munh talk about
the so called classic Analog synths,
I like the new ones anyway (Novation BassStation
Access Virus b)

Yeah, I have to agree the sound of the 303 is a bit tired and outdated.
well it's no news that tastes differ. But I happen to love it

Besides, you can make pretty impressive 303 leads on the virtual analogs too. At least on the Nova... check out this sample I made for fun a while ago.
By the way.. how do I upload files to tranceaddict?
