In the UK WW2 stared in 1939, in the US it started in 1941!

Didn't it 'officially' start completely on 1939-09-03 & the US happened to be dragged into it on 1941-12-07, when Pearl Harbor was attacked?

Well the U.S. was shipping supplies to the British, I'm not sure if that's what they were trying to point out. However, the entrance that early made me go WTF mate.
