and casting Hugo Weaving as V was a very good choice. |
I loved the way he spoke, and the way he'd move his head when speaking... since his lips or eyes or other facial expressions dont move, they used the way he held, moved, tilted his head to compensate, to give a semblance of the qualities he was unable to display because of the static, unchanging mask he wore which shielded any and all of his facial expressions... found it very interesting to watch/study.
And the modulation and articulation of his voice, and the manner in which he spoke... LOVED IT!
Great voice for the part. I was so impressed w/ this fucking movie!
Funny, because as watching this movie, so many of the values V believes in and is fighting for are SPOT ON the same values for life that are espoused in my favourite fantasy series by Terry Goodkind "The Sword of Truth". Funnily enough, I'm reading the 11th book right now in that series which just came out in hardback.
I can't believe how similar the core values for life are (and the extreme actions needed to be taken to preserve such values)
Just one more aspect that made me love this movie, how much it reminded of me the ideas expressed in my favourite fantasy series of novels!
