i sort mine by energy level. i keep my more chill stuff at the front, and as i move back the tracks get more banging... i also sort into genres a bit. there is so much crossover i really only split it up into house, electro and breaks.

Alphabetically by record label... it's the easiest and most efficient way, IMO. Also, whenever you get a new record, there will always be a spot to put it without any "should I put it here or there" sort of thing.

by order of acquiring. may sound weird, but yeah. well, at least thats with CDs (thats all i spin). why? i dunno. when i think of a track, i always remember when i got it, how new it is, hence, i can find it np.

by genre.. and within each (prog/trance/harder etc) by label or i put records that go together well next to each other. helps plans sets if im having an off night, or if im in an emergency to mix in the next tune
