Can you please clarify that statement for me. Well how do you know thar there is a heaven or hell? These to places are described when we die( more like our afterlife, if you do believe in one). Fyi: Im a big sceptic of christianity as well and those are good points you bring out, obviously without any good answer. Christianity is a bunch of bullshit.

Who cares if there is something after you die or not. You are going to die anyways, I consider heaven a bonus. If not then at least I turned into some good fertilizer.

As far as the scouts well if there is a god I think we have learned by now he doesn't protect us from stupidity, boy scout or not.

Indeed, most of what the church is based on, nowadays, comes from several reviews made by men, and naturally, is bound to reflect prejudices and biases that conflict with the original meaning. Not to mention hardcore followers who stuck to the word radically.

However, once you break it down to a philosophy rather than a religion, you get some really nice material, that wouldn't even clash with science, for example, but would rather become a mirror.

I learned about Christianity more now that I left the church.
