well the 1200s i bought in march and the 1200s my mate bought 18 months ago dont, i would really prefer connections than attached wires because if the cable gets damaged its much easier to replace

so i finally replaced my RCA cables on my technics...did the whole soldering and such. i thought it was gonna be extremely hard, but it was a pretty easy job. didn't realize how easy it was, and spent a total of 15 bucks for the soldering iron and the solder...fookin beats paying 100+ bucks to get that shit fixed...so excited!!!
I have a questio for you.
I am planning on doing this tonight.
I already cut one end off the monstercable and opened my techinics .
the cable spits into two cables for the left and two for the right.
But on the monster cables there is also a third cable which is probobly the ground as
the monster cables are supposed to be balanced.
Do i take the two grounds of the red and white cable and solder them insted of the ground
of the deck (that would be cool!!!!)
or do I just leave my ground on an leave the two grounds unsoldered and solder the rest.
Thanks in advance.

Use a hot soldering iron that can quickly heat up the connection and melt the solder. Insufficient heat can cause a "cold" solder joint that doesn't conduct properly and the wires may not be solidly connected by the solder.
Remove the soldering iron after the solder has melted nicely all over the connection. If you leave the connection hot too long the solder can "drain" into the wires away from the connection, and possibly leave too little at the joint. Also the wires and insulation may be damaged by too much heat.
After the solder melts onto the joint and you remove the iron, don't move the connection or blow on it to cool it until a few seconds, so the solder solidifies.

thanks a lot for your help. would you suggest I just leave my ground on or solder the ground from the cables ?

Gee I don't know about that (the grounding), being unfamilar with exactly how those decks are cabled.
