Using loops for main percussion is a bit lazy in my opinion, hats, claps and kicks should all be done using one shots so u can compress and eq them seperately,
Using loops to fill your track on the hand is great, canga loops, toms etc,
experimentation is the key tho,
keep it origional

for instance Lange used loops from Stylus in X Equals 69... but it's still a good tune. But personally I'd prefere to make all my percussions from ZERO
