You can list the schools that sponsor the sport. If your really good check out division 1 teams. Well there is a ton o info on there. SO look for times and what division those times are in. Then list out all teh unis in that division pick the schools in the lower part of the US, a Uni of california school would be ncie, they have great weather, but there are other place.
so find some and post em up and we'll see if we can help. |
this is a good idea. given that you are from australia, i am going to assume that you are a relatively fast swimmer, so you can probably do division 1. you can get an idea of how fast each team is by talking to their coach, or maybe online, i dunno. there are a lot of different levels of swimming schools in D1 and not knowing how fast you are, it would be hard to recommend one to you. div 1 and div 2 can give scholarships. div 3 and 4 cant, and they are typically slower.
i swam division 1 in college and we recruited a few international students. usually a team gets a quota of how many foriegners they can have on their roster. but we did bring them out for recruiting trips so the best idea is to find out what schools you would be a good fit for and then call their coaches. the ncaa allows you to go on 5 recruiting trips.
