How close are we to cloning humans? We can clone them right now as far as I understand...it's just that nobody will do it - it's illegal to clone even animals in North America...but the technology is there I think humans can be cloned right now too...

Not that close actually. Cloning humans is a lot more complicated than your garden variety sheep or dog. True the technology is there, and there are groups that are working on just such a venture, ones that have even said that they're almost successful at it. However, there are unknowns with genetic mutation and indescrepancies. Give it a coupla more years.
