I guess I have been DJing all wrong. I thought you were supposed to mix tracks together, but you are saying we are supposed to mix other peoples' livesets together?! What do you do at WMC, mix ASOT 2004 into the Politics of Dancing into In Search of Sunrise 3?

From myglobalsound.com, where you SELL your "livesets"...

quote:

DJ Sebas creates all of his mix sets + CDs, via CDJ midi interface + Sonic Foundry Acid 4.0. He also designs his own CD covers using Adobe Photoshop. How he creates his mixes is somewhat unique. He starts by listening to various DJ sets varying from Genre to Genre, most of the time he likes to use about 3 or 4 different DJs on his mixes.

After listening to about 20 to 30 sets ranging from 1hr to 1.5hrs each. He then cuts out the segments [Using Cool Edit 2000] from each set that he feels he connected with; they sometimes average about 5min to 8min each. After all the splices are cut he then takes them into Sonic Foundrey Acid 4.0 and put all of them together to make one complete set.

In all in he has created 16 mix sets and used over 48 different DJs and mixed together: Trance . Progressive Trance + House . House . Deep House . UK Garage . 2 Step . NY Dance . Electronica + Tech House . Funky House.

You are a fucking joke man. This is definitely a new way to rip off the producers and real DJs at the same time.

http://www.detroittrance.com/DJ-Purchase.html

"If you are interested in purchasing any of my mixes please choose one of the following options below:

Option #1 - Download the mix you want via myglobalsound.com . You can either purchase the entire mix or download selected tracks from my mixsets.

Option #2 - Email me your order directly to me and pay either by money order or paypal."

Then you say not to order from cdstreet.com because they do not pay the artists directly. But isn't that what you are doing? I doubt you have the licenses for the track in your "mixes."

I believe he was referring to cutting various DJ sets up and piecing them together into a mix you call yours.
