I dont think that unit has pitch control. That sucks! And from what I read on the LA TImes article, that unit is ment for consumer rather than the actual DJ. So that's for the average joe.

your absolutley right. this is meant for bars who use to have "open mic" night, that now have open DJ night. you show up with your IPOD with a buddy or something and you get 10minutes to play what you want.

i've seen reviews on bars like this and everyone seems to have a great time. karaoke with out all the embarrassment

yeah this stuff is straight house party, bar type joints. hip hop will be glorious on this stuff. its not like any hip hop dj blends there mixes anyway.
