anything you buy from the new stanton line will be quality.
The specs on the above mixers are within the best I have ever come across in a dj mixer .
All the dj mixers above have a signal to noise ratio of 110.

Compare that to the crappy 79 signal to noise ratio on the djm 600
I am selling, to get one of the mixers in the above line.
And the 404 has a 0,005 total harmonic distorsion
witch is only found on the djm 1000 that costs 10 times the price.
The djm 600 has 0,02 (4times as much) total harmonic distorsion
Pioneer mixers are not worth the money .
The only problem I see with the 404 is that it doesnt feature a send/return
witch means to use effects you have to chain the signal adding unnessesary noise to
the setup.
I personally will go for the 304 and put the left over money
from the crappy 600 towards buying a second cdj 1000.
Then when I save enough money from working I will upgrade to that amazing
xzone 3d.

Sounds good. I was thinking about the 404 at first, but your right about the features on that one, and it's a little more expensive as well. The M.304 looks fantastic and seems to have everything needed and priced pretty damn good. I can't reall find any good reviews on any of the above mixers because they are new, but I mean they all pretty much are the same, some what.

So far I'm leaning towards the M.304.

Its their new dj line that is engeneered with sst.
This company spends more mone on building and crafting
the actual product into something worth a purchase
that pushing low quality products with advertisment.
It has 6 line imputs that means I can hook
2cdj + 2 lines from final scratch2
and my decks going on phono,
which is more than enough for a bedroom setup.
I wouldnt pay more money unless he mixer supported midi.
I heard the faders feel good too..
Not to mention it looks cool.
I still cant deside between the two.
404 will almost sound as if you never passed the signal
through a mixer but the 304 is a lot more flexible to add a korg2 or an efx 1000
later.

I'm not sure if we've talked alredy but I still have my djm-500 for sale in the toronto area. You'd save over $100 on shipping, taxes, etc. I was asking $650canadian most recently but we could make a deal I'm sure.

Dont get pioneer.
their mixers are ovepriced.
Over advertised & noisy.
Judjing from my djm - 600.
I find pioneer very fatiquing,
why waste 900$ on something muddy like that.
If you cant afford the high end allen & heath
get something from the new stanton line.
You wont regret it.

^ +1 on that... The Denon Dn-X1500 easily surpasses the Pioneer and is cheaper too.

However in your case, i would recommend the Vestex PCV 275. This mixer has been tried and tested by almost all the Djs for a long time now (including myself). It is probably the best entry-medium level mixer you could buy and very reliable too. The Stanton might have the P+G fader (they Rock!) but as far as sound quality goes, Vestex is top notch!

Also why don't you try ebay.ca. I have seen vestax going for as little as $200. I'm sure you will get a good deal on a slightly used one. Save the rest of the money for vinyls or an EFX processor if you want one.

well according to you those stanton mixers should sound better than a xone92 because they have better s/n ratios? We're talking about a bedroom dj here. I have an ecler nuo4 hooked up to my $1500 speakers and $1000 amp and there is a very minmial sound quality difference between it and the "muddy" djm-500. If the pioneer mixers really sounded that bad they wouldn't be in countless club installations. The pioneer is really easy to figure out, has a great layout, and onboard efx and for a used price is hard to beat for a bedroom setup.

You should buy a mixer with good specs,
not a mixer that has lots of features (onboard efx BS).
Make sure you buy a box of tulenol to go with the djm-500!!!
Pioneer mixers SUCK.
I repeat they suck.
the specs on them suck.
the faders feal airy.
THE DESIGN IS CHEAP.
Lots of noise is introdused to the mix.
the allen & heath are better,they have a wider frequency responce and better
specs + phono ampifiers) than the stanton and are priced accordingly.
Pioneer is cheap. Other people agree that they are not worth the tag!!
They push their mixers through good marketing.
(Hell they used that piece of shit at the olympic seremony!!)
If I knew about mixers when I bought it I wouldnt have bought the OOVERPRICED
djm 600.

high budget:

v6 (audiophile dj mixer). 4000+$
xone 96 (wide frequency responce- supports midi)(1400-1600)
vestax pmc carl cox
(revolutionary dj mixer that lets you assign multiple sources to single channels
making it ideal for three deck mixing)1500-2000
Rotary rane (warm good sound,good specs)1000

midrange budget:
Allen & heath 62 ( wide frequency responce ,good specs)700-800

after that its all about the new stanton line,
(Increadible specs for a midrange price)
They dominate this range.
going lower its
vestax basic scratch mixers turntablists choise because they are solid
& sound quality is second priority on a performance mixer)

low budget:
numark digital mixer (99$)
(if your are bying a budget mixer digital will always sound better
at the <100 price range)

He has <450 so thats why he is down to the stanton mixers.
SOLID DESISN & SPECS NOT FEATURES & EFFECTS.
He is a bedroom dj that means he will be mixing long hours so...
he will benefit from a mixer that doesnt alter the signal
Rather than a 79 s/n ratio mixer with a bunch of toys
that bring even more noise in the mix.

I have alredy desided that my mixer of choise will be
the xone 3d (but that is not out yet)
Until I can afford that I will go with the stanton
for the same reasons other people are bying it
(It's sold out at musicians friend!!!)

My friend has a 401 (originally bought for 350
now priced 150-200) and I'd rather be mixing on that than
the ''hard to beat'' ,''onboard effects'' ,djm-hiss.

First of all, i have never stated that Pioneer are bad sounding mixers. They have and are still Industry standard mixers in several clubs around the world.

The Denon is a better mixer than Pioneer because of various reasons starting from the effects to more options, to the upgrade feature and the P+G fader. Since i have both of them, i believe i am entitled to my opinion. If you like the pioneer good for you, it is an awesome company making high quality stuff!

As for Stanton sounding being better than the xone 92 .... no comment!

P.S it's not that the DJM500 is a bad mixer, it's just that your price is too high!
