I've seen alot of DJs in videos tap their fingers in the air to the beat and rise them if the record starts to build up, the crowd loves that shit apprently. I don't see anything wrong with it tbh. Its like at concerts, would you rather have a band just stand their playing their instruments or would you rather have them get into it?
About the two tracks from the same arist? I frown on it yeah, and my stomach cringes when I mix aritsts of the same. I think it shows that you don't know alot about what your playing / you don't have alot of records. But then again, as long as it sounds good, it really soudn't matter, so for me it's kinda a fify fity thing. |
I tend to disagree with you there.
Firstly, DJs doesnt have to do the Jesus pose to give you the impression that they are enjoying it. I once again points in the direction of
Digweed, he doesnt do the Jesus pose. He claps his hands once every now and then and it still rocks like hell.
Secondly, if you mix two tracks from the same artist, it doesnt matter. If you are a DJ that know anything you know that you will play
whatever works (almost) on the dancefloor and playing two tracks from the same author really isnt a big deal. Why skip playing a rocking
tune just because its made of the same author?
Altho playing lots and lots of the same creator tends to get lame, especially if its by the artist him/herself.
