Yes, the ones CosmoKid has posted a link to.
If you get them elsewhere just make sure they´re the velour ones and not the pleather ones (haven´t tested these, but I think they´re pretty much like the original sony pads)

This was clearly proved in a lot of abx-tests.

Also with hifi-equipment in general, there´s no difference in sound, when using different cables.
I also tried that myself with different cd-players, recorders, minidisc, dvd, and different cables (analog chinch, digital coaxial, toslink).

I monitored them with a sony cd3k (driven by a seperate amp), and imho the whole hifi-tuning industry does sell voodoo-stuff that has a placebo-effect if any...
(and btw, I think that shrink foil on the recabled senn on the pic makes it look ugly and cheap )

Well I'm not going to debate about this because it is truly an everlasting conflict of yes or no does higher priced cable make a difference.

Myself I sincerely believe it does. I have run my setup with 2 dollar rca's and some 150+ dollar ones and there is a difference; have also been at some demos in shops where they ran 1500$ versus cheaper cables.

But I also understand that very few can truly perceive the difference.

It's tricky ...... I'm not going to deny that

Btw how did the CD3K's sound ?

Gah, just get some different headphones. I use the 7506s all the time and I hate them. Your low end is just not there and there's way too much sparkle in them.

Seriously. Even the MDR-v700s are better because they actually boost the low end by a few dB.

But you're talking about modding pads. Oh well. Suite yourself, but I hate those cans.

... and on an un-related note, if you want balanced MIXING go for some AKGs. that's where it's at.

I LOVE my 7506s. The 700s may be the worst headphones I have ever put on.

More proof that only YOU can decide which ones are the best for you.

You must have listened to a different 7506 than me
Mine have fine bass, almost a bit to much for my taste, the v500/700 to me have no deep-bass only totally bloated mid-bass.
I agree that the highs on the 7506 are a bit too strong, but not enough to make me not like it.

But I guess this is something that comes down to personal taste anyways

Pretty damn nice!
Soundstage is extremely amazing, and so is the resolution.
Bass could be a bit more, maybe something better (tube?) amplification would take care of.
Would one day like to compare them to the successor sa5000 and to some properly amped senns...
Btw, the cable of the cd3k also looks nice

Very true indeed.

Not saying I like the 700s all that much either. They're uncomfortable, and the pads die faster. Bleck!
