I am from Utah. Lived there for 11 years prior to moving to Boston, and these fu*king misperceptions and ignorance PISS me off. There are absolutely liquor stores in Utah...but they are owned and operated by the state. There are close to 15 of them in Salt Lake City alone + seperate wine stores. There is NO curfew except for minors (under 18) and that is midnight. Technically 70% of the state of Mormon, but that's on paper...not in practice. It's less than half in SLC. Please get your facts straight before you go talking like you know your shit. It's beyond obnoxious.

I currently live in Utah and once lived in Utah County. NONE of this happened because of religion. Please get your facts straight before you start bagging on somewhere/something you no nothing about.
I have seen the same video and spoken to friends that were there that night. Yes they said it was pretty scary. I can see how it would be. If I was at a party and a helicopter and cops showed up hell yes I would be freaked out who wouldn’t be? I did not see any of the brutality that everyone is speaking about however and most of the people walked away.
The mass uneducated and incorrect stereotypes people are throwing around and using to fault the police is the same mentality that the police use against raves. Try to look at things from both perspectives. If I was an officer going into a crowd of over 250 people you can bet your ass I would be prepared for any thing. You never now what type of crowd you are going to encounter or the reaction you will receive by breaking up a party. I have had parties at my house that I broke up and people started fights because I made everyone leave and that was a small house party. You need to remember that these officers deal with a lot more crap on a daily basis then most of us will see in our life times.
I can see both sides here; I wasn’t there so I’m not judging anyone. I’m not saying what the cops did was right but I’m not saying that all the people arrested were innocent either…….

Anyone notice the "polygamy" link under news? |
What does this have to do with anything? There is very small portion of Utah as other states and Canada that practice Polygamy. Mormons do not practice polygamy they banned this before any of us ever came into existence. Polygamists are a different religion, once again please don’t bring things up that you are uneducated about or have no relevance to the topic of conversation.
Nuff said!
