awesome DJ and figure of the TO scene , but then so much has changed since the time he was in his prime .. i think he's doing a good thing moving on and allowing others to take the reigns in this new age of dance music in Toronto ..

I mentioned to someone (20 yrs. old) that I guess Dr. Trance must have been a bit before his time. He said that he had to tell Don that it was his first (and apparently last) time hearing him spin, lol.
Still...i think it was awesome to see the mix of people turn out. young, old, gay, straight, clubbers, ravers, and a few people just curious to see what this was all about.

Don's shirt was wikkid too...Dr. Trance, you are indeed the BIG DADDY! It was somewhat strange to have him thanking everyone as they left the boat. All I could say as I shook his hand was "no, thank YOU". I was happy to hear that he will apparently still spin during Toronto Pride while just retiring from his club/party appearances under his Dr. Trance name.
after a bit of a shitty week, this was a perfect weekend spent with some good friends, fellow TAs whom I don't see nearly enough, and some great tunes.
and Neeta...indeed...it was almost emotional for me as well...I haven't heard a set of classic trance and electronica like that in years...and to see the good Dr. behind the decks with his hands in the air...that was just priceless. Good choice of nostalgic music you've chosen too...at some point, an old depeche mode track was dropped
we definitely need more parties like this one...
