Very idiotic thing to do mate.
You should have planned ahead by making enough space for your decks & vinyl. If i were moving, this would have been my primary priority.

so dont bring some clothes/books/shoes/shit 10 times less important than records. i managed to bring my whole collection from india to thailand to the US, and then moved to college with them. where theres a will theres a way. i suggest you try something to get them back, and next time pack a bit smarter

razzi.

I should really re-read my post before posting. THe equipment i am using is the radio stations here at the school. I will buy more vinyl by getting a job and I did bring a back pack full of records but the bag could hold only 20 records and my collections consists of over 300 songs

btw my own equipment is still home. It cost me 325 american dollars to send my tower and monitor plus an adcom amplifier and klipsch sub(25 lbs). I needed to send the amplifier so i can sell it and the klipsch sub is for my 2.1 computer system so i need that too.

^Well stupidity is an understatement here so don't worry about it...

I moved to Canada all the way from Karachi - Pakistan last year. There was no way i could carry the gear with me due to the weight factor etc so i gave them away to local djs back home. I gave it away for free regardless of the fact that i could have sold it for some serious $$$, even more then the original price (large demand and short supply!)because back home the djing scene is very underground and believe it or not, we might have a lot of clubs opening up but not one proper damn djing shop to buy gear etc! It was my one last contribution to the local djing scene which is still in its infancy.

Now as far as my Whitelabels and rare Vinyls are concerned, I made damn sure that I brought them along with me even if i had to carry it on a plane half way across the world.

Somethings money can't buy, for every thing else there was my Visa!
