I am glad canada is missing all that....that is what causes so many problems...it is bound to lead to extremes.

The true question is why are you proud to be a Canadian? Would you be willing to die for your country...I know I wouldn't....that being said...I would fight and die for the rights and freedoms I have as a canadian. There will always be people that are willing to sacrifice for what they believe in to be good and true.
Every time I think of those Canadian men (and women) that selflessly volunteered their lives during D-Day so that I can remain in a free country, even though I wasn't even born, still blows me away.
I would hope that there are still men and women to this day that would do the same, should the calling come.
(To some extent, those that work for the Police and Fire Departments still are...)

People can call it patriotism if they wish, and they'd be partically correct. I'd call it just doing what's right.

i would never die for my country. i would, however, die for a cause.

I rarely frequent TA just b/c of the immaturity that proceeds in a couple tht=reads, that and i rarely have the net! . Also I have had some disappointing times with a couple of folk - but those that know me know I am a q-t in a wild 'eccentric' kinda way. Love yo long time to all that i love, and that appriciate me!
