what i would suggest is take down how much sleep you get for the next week to two weeks. if it doesn't improve. i would see a sleep specialist.

EXERCISE, eat right, and sleep for 8 hours(don't ask me how), no more no less. *This is exactly what my doctor told me, when I complained about being tired all the time.

Easier said than done, but it works. Sometimes I just wake up and jump out of bed, like nothing. Sometimes I sleep too long and I'm tired throughout the day and my body aches(I have NO idea why!). If I sleep too little, I will go back to sleep after 3-5 hours regardless of how much I resist.

please more info on 5-htp ...

Unfortunately, the studies to date are incomplete, even if promising, for the treatment of mild to moderate depression. Reviews of these studies do indicate potential still remains for 5-HTP in the treatment of depression, though further trials are stressed as necessary before arriving at any firm conclusion. Some caution and diligence should be exhibited regarding 5-HTP barring further study and review.

Inertia in the study of clinical indicators for 5-HTP is certainly an anomaly. Pharmaceuticals companies definitely have a vested interest in keeping knowledge about this agent at a minimum.

I'm constantly changing my sleeping schedule. Some days I'll sleep as little as two hours and others I'll sleep up to 9 hours. My body seems to not care but I know that eventually it will start complaining. Let's hope it's not any time soon.

Anyway, this is about you, my guess is you work too much during the day and therefore your body feels the need for more sleep. Either that or you have trouble falling asleep. Or your mind just does too much during your sleep. What exhausting stuff are you dreaming about? Wait, wait, maybe the bed is the problem here. Is the bed comfortable enough? No, that couldn't be. The thought about your mom buying you condoms might keep you from sleeping and resting properly. Of course you're unware of this because it's during your deepest sleep.

No, wait, I have another one: Maybe you sleeprun and therefore you're feeling sleepy the next day. You exercise during your sleep because your body knows that you won't do it when you're awake. Damn, your body is so smart. Yeah, I'm willing to bet on this explanation.

Make sure you are getting plenty of complex carbohydrates. Especially if drinking stimulants like coffee or soda only makes you more tired. I used to be so tired after lunch in high school that I could barely think straight, all I wanted to do was put my head down and rest. This was most likely due to the fact that my advanced weight training class was an hour or two before lunch and all I ate every lunch period was one of those packaged sandwiches they cut diagonally and a small carton of chocolate milk. The workouts from the weight class would deplete my body of glucose (Your body's main source of energy), and I wasn't getting enough carbs from lunch to replenish those stores.

Just a possibility.

Yeah...this isn't much of a lunch, at least not for me at the time.
