well he MUST have touched the start button, cause if he hadn't stopped the record at the cue point, it wouldn't be there after a second of leaving the record alone. So either he had his hand on the record the whole time, holding it in place, or he pressed start without you noticing, or he has the new magic Technics Mk 4 with autostart when you touch the vinyl....

hehe.. i dont think it was the mk4.. i think it was the mk2...

Thx all 4 your help.. maybe he pressed the stop button and i didn't notice...

but i have another question..
lets say he stopped.. and then pressed the start button.. should he just put his hands on the record so he can cue again.. or just press start and let the record go?.. so it will match the other record that is playing?

you will need to put your hand on the record before you press start. Then you can move the record by hand and listen to it on your headphones to see if it is still in the right spot. Then you let it go in the right moment to match the other track.

ohh...
when u play with the record with ur hand.. u scratch it back & fourth.. what does that do.. i mean i've seen all dj'z do that b4 they let the record go
