Think about that again and tell me you are not serious.

Didn't say that at all. I said that people arrested by our government at least have recourse in our courts ...as opposed to people abducted by Terrorists who have NO recourse to anyoe but the Terrorist's whims.

I don't agree with the original statement that the U.S. is "abducting" and holding simple "criminals" without due process. These are enemy combatants. Some of them will have due process through the military courts, and that's good enough! Some will have it through our traditional courts. We've released thuosands already.

To make un-founded statements like "what's to stop the U.S. from secretly abducting and killing people" doesn't stand up to the known facts.

Really, you are not really up to date. There are prisons that exsits in this world, runed by the US government, that do torture ppl. Not too long ago facts came out that one of the famous terrorist leaders where tortured to death. He didnt see any trial whatsoever that i tell you. That's breaking human rights too, if you want to fight terrorism with any credit you should be a good example, not use their bad habits to make up for yours.

Huh?

So anyway, like I was saying........our track record on human rights beats the Terrorists.

EOM!

You guys and your "anti-Americanism"...I guess you'd rather see things "runed" by Terrorists!

lol I saw that when I posted it (was talking on the phone ). There are plenty of other really stupid ones too so I couldn't bother to edit... hehe =/

Anyway, your human rights record is better than the terrorists' indeed. However, that does not make it good! It is no excuse whatsoever that there are "worse". And I never heard any terrorists whineing about you torturing prisoners, but it is kinda ironic as a westerner when you start a war to defend democracy, yet in that war you use tactics that is in direct contrast to one of the corner stones of democracy!

Yeah, it angers and bothers anyone who isn't ignorant and indoctrinated.

Al quaida/Iraqi insurgence is trying to win a war, you are trying to win a war. Why would your bad actions be justified in order to win a war, but not theirs?
