why has it a technoy feel to it? just because it has a hard beat? a hard beat doesn't make a track technoy dude. I think you would describe katana - fancy fair as tech-trance. what is the techno part in it?!?!? to me it's just some simple (harder) trance.
A hard beat doesn't directly mean it is technoy.
Ok, let's look at it from the other side: maybe a techno track with a obvious melody is tech-trance?
No. there is a lot of melodic techno out there, for example Technasia, but I never heard someone calling it "tech-trance".
tech-house is a generally accepted term, but "tech-trance" !?!?!!? |
Tech-Trance does exist mate, i have a CD off a Ministry mag from a while back called tech-trance and it has a few oliver lieb trakcs on. Tech-trance isnt actually a fusion of trance and techno as such (bit like hard-house not really being house music wiv a hard beat and more like a slowed down hardcore). Tech-Trance is like progressive trance but still wiv the more trancy sounds like high pitched beeps and pops and stuff. Okay that was a crap description, try downloading
Ecano - Run (Z2 Mix)
or
Marco Cord - Slow Power
and u'll see what i mean
Peace
