I don't think that's the way forward. But I understand from the other side why DJs use it.
A couple of DJing friends of mine do it because they get access to all this music.
Personally, I don't like it because it looks bad and you lose the art as everything's matched up and sorted out for you.
I use vinyl and CD. There's something about playing live, the movement you get with your hands. But each to their own.

have to agree here, while I don't support the path his musical career has gone in, when he's thinking straight & not on the drugs, he's a great interviewee

The only reason Oakey slates the use of FS, SSL, Ableton etc is becuase he wouldnt have the first clue how to use them. He can barely operate turntables even when he tries his hardest & it was only about 6 months ago he was slating CDJ's because they 'mix for you' The guy is a muppet.
