We sat outside for a good part of the evening chilling, caught last part of Ritchie Hawtin's set, not really my thing.

Thought Christopher Lawrence ROCKED it, one of the best sets that I have ever heard from him. Did not hear a trainwreck, nothing even close, not sure what the person earlier was talking about.

Armin was good, played harder than I expected but as predicted busted out the cheese, what was that Police song "Sending out an SOS". Yuk.

lol he totally trainwrecked on the first song. then he made an oops face and then gradually lowered the volume to a complete silence, and everyone cheered for him and then had a speaker announce "give it up for CHRISTOPHER LAWRENCE" as an icebreaker deal. well maybe i shouldnt have laughed, it was pretty embarrassing. oh well. shit happens ;D richie hawtin blew it up! i wish he played more minimal though. i just about cried when he played afx - vbs.redlof.b that is such a good song. its on holdens tracklist. yeah armin played "message in a bottle" "sending out an SOS!" i would have rather much preferred hiver and hammers remix. classic.

i got there about 5:30 with julia hoping to catch eddie, but the dome was so hot and steamy from the afternoon sun. it feels weird to be dancing so early in the day also. so we chilled outside and waited for more friends to come. eddie's set was more i guess "cheesy" therefore skipping out on it didnt really matter. RIght after Eddie, was where the "harder" music came on. Donald Glaude is such a audience booster where hell constantly run up to the stage to greet his fans and get the people pumped up. hes a funny guy making weird facial expressions. after his set, donald came down to the crowd and julia and i did a good 30min dancing session with the guy. christopher lawrence was not the same chris when i saw him at spundae some weeks ago. not that he was bad, but he expressed his harder side of him. i guess at rave scenes, less trancy stuff usually buys the crowd. i skipped out for DJ dan but, richie hawtin was my hightlight of the night for my first time seeing him. the consistant bass licks did it for me. by the time AVB was up, i was about to pass the fuck out, my feet were hurting, and my mouth was dry. i didnt get to enjoy AVB as i shoulda did.

and we did make it to spundae after all for ROUND 2!!! julia being a party animal, thought it was a good idea to see J00F for the last 30min and chilled with hypersky and junior chavez. my ears are SO fucked up now.

hi fives to: miss julia, carrie, brandy, curly, electrophile, mary, dj faded, kris, hotdogwater, keith, gypsygirl, and more ive forgotten.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO CARRIE!

I ended up in the breaks room....for some reason I wasnt feeling in a trance mood. Jackel & Hyde was a great live show as well as uberzone.

my first out door "rave" .

i'll never go to one again. i watched some kid colapse right after he finished a sentence with me, because he was having a seizure, don't know if hes still alive.

i honestly felt like there was more people there to get fucked up and say "fuck society and its norms" then there was people who ACTUALLY liked the music.

i can see why there is a rave act. if i was to put last night onto film and show my family or anyone in politics i would be concerned as well. atleast now i know why EDM has all those stereotypes, most of them are true.
