Whoever said that on the radio apparently spends too much time talking about new and not enough time gathering it. More than 50 countries have OFFERED us money. As far as I had read, the US has NOT ACCEPTED any of it. Qatar offered us $100 million, which was the highest that i saw. Granted Qatar is rich from oil, but still that's a lot of money. Kuwait's another one. They've requested that their parliament release $500 million worth of aid and petroleum to help. Here's a list of everything:

Wow. That's a lot of freaking countries. I have to say that it's pretty profound for places like Bangladesh to be offering aid. Of course, I don't know what goes on behind the scenes. As you said, tons have offered, we haven't been accepting much. I wonder why lol. I wonder if it's because there are single individuals living in this country who could match ALL of the monetary aid being offered by all of those countries combined, all by themselves. To me, that's deep. I don't think that the entire world hates the US. I think a good chunk of the rest of the world is pretty humanitarian, but I can't help wondering if a lot of these countries offered aid, knowing that the US would most likely refuse. Hmmmm...

Kuwait: Government has asked parliament to approve an emergency aid package of $500 million in humanitarian aid and petroleum. "We as Kuwaitis feel that we must stand alongside our friends to alleviate this humanitarian hardship," Minister of Energy Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahd said in a statement to the Kuwait News Agency.

I love the fact that Cuba is in there... The embargo which we have held in place there for how many years now...? and yet they offer what little resources they have. Let's just hope that some aren't too stupid / arrogant to accept.
