Just hold off getting married for about 5 years... and hopefully by then the SF loveparade will have the same rep that Berlin had (or at least close).

it will never get as big or good as the original love parade for the simple fact that it is in the USA. EDM + USA = shite

The loveparade can only happen in Berlin. It was a solution to a Berlin problem. Trying to recreate this in other areas, especially in America, is really fucking stupid.

There is supposedly a Love Parade being planned for 2006, and I also heard/read that one of Berlin's most internationally recognized DJs will be the main organizer of the event... and it does make sense that it would take place somehow in conjunction with the World Cup...

Paul van Dyk is the new organiser & he said last night that it almost definitely wont be happening.

well i live in louisiana and the city i live in is shit. The clubs here are full of rednecks and the dj idea of mixing is using the crossfader to fade from a 50cent track to a darunde track. People here have no idea about good edm. NOw they only city that had good shows with good dj's where i first got into electronic music was at the state palace theater, which i nation wide known now, in new orleans which is now underwater. So i dont think i will be seeing any good dj's anytime soon. I have traveled to texas three times for shows, twice for pvd and once for nu-nrg but i have seen some good dj's in new orleans. I have prsonally met tiesto twice and the second time i hung out with him after his set at the club and drank red bull and vodka with him for about and hour and talked about music and europe. I also met armin and ferry at the same club, that was before this club was sold and became a hip hop club. So yes i want to exp a good european style party because each time i have seen vandit play his sound is much different than from the european live sets i have downloaded from him. I want to be a part of that huge crowd and maybe try and buy a pass to get on a float if i can, but damn tht sux if they dont have it next year.

man its really overrated so dont worry about it. Like most things it was good 10yrs ago. I would save your money and take something like Dancevalley or Zurich Street Parade to experience a good European style party.
