Well he's better than DJ Sammy. I actually own all of his CDs because they sometimes have some really good tracks (And crap too). I wouldn't really consider him the best DJ in the world but for those that like the harder stuff, he would appeal to you, but he mixes it up with epic trance as well. Overall he's not one of these guys who plays really light trance or progressive, and he's not the best mixer in the world, but heck of alot better than DJ Sammy or ATB at DJing/Mixing. He may be no Armin or Sasha in the tech department, and his productions aren't that great, but if you take him as a DJ, he's decent. I don't want to get into an argument about it, but I don't think he's as bad as some people are making him out to be. He does play a lot of the same stuff Armin or Ferry does (or did as they are playing more and more prog), but he mixes it in with his own signature hard trance.

Note: I'm not a fan of hard trance, but I used to listen to some of it like DJ Scot Project, DJ Wag, Nu NRG or Cosmic Gate.

do you guys consider him a good trance dj? just curious to know...

He's good at what he does. Which is mix shit tracks while doing an impeccable impersonation of someone in severe need of a straight injection of ex-lax. He is a tad arrogant though. Not to mention, just all around not too good.

George Achesseta!!

One of the worst DJ's out there. He will trainweck every single track he mixes and the tracks he does mix are pure cheesy shit! So Bad! The only way you can enjoy acheessta is to much on 12 pills and drink a shit load. And even then he will still Suck!
He is a short fat man that needs to stand on bricks to see over the decks, major napolion complex and those poses he does...

He really needs to give up DJing

Well I will admit that I've never seen him live so I have no idea how he is live. I'm judging him from his CDs, radio show and live sets, and he didn't seem that bad. Maybe he's going the way of Oakie, and I will admit that even on some of his CDs, his mixing wasn't perfect, but certaintly a lot better than what you will hear ATB or DJ Sammy mix, they are pretty damn awful and half the time don't even beat mix (fade in and out of tracks). So unless he's gotten really bad, or live he really is THAT bad then i'll take your word for it....

got a few livesets very nice track selection and mixing, no complaints. to me most dj's are the same i tend to worry more about track selection if anything.

I really don't understand all this hating of him. If you look at his playlists, and as I've mentioned before, he plays A LOT of the same songs that Armin and Ferry play, and some other big name trance DJs. I don't know how George is as a person (arrogant??) but if it weren't for him, there really wouldn't be the same exposure to european trance as he has given many clubbers in the US. As I recall he was one of the first fairly successful American trance DJs who played generally european based epic-trance music (with some harder stuff as well). He might not be a PERFECT beatmatcher, but you've got to give him some credit here, esp if your American. And as I've said i've heard A LOT worse mixing, just listen to the "transitions" in ATB's "DJ In The Mix" CD that I unfortunitely own. Now THAT is BAD "Beatmixing" if you want to call it that even.
