Play some popular songs that have been remixed. Other songs that the crowd *possibly* would like is some crystal method, chemical brothers, you know that type of music.

High energy breaks--Crystal Method, BT, Chemical Brothers, etc.--are usually a fairly safe bet. And yes, the "uneducated" still dance the fuck OUT for Sandstorm.

A good question is whether or not you will be mixing a set, or DJing the whole night. Both situations require radically different approaches. (A 6-hour deep house set will probably not go over well. )

What is the difference? :S To me DJing IS mixing a set. But I guess you have another take, though. What do you mean?

so for all the so called dj's

Disk Jockey - DJ is noun...and therefore should not be used as verb...at least if you call yourself a dj you should be politically correct when you're talking about either your hobby or your job. educate the fools who still use this, but it must start with the ones that call themselves djs

he means theres a different approach for djing for only say an hour, compared to djing for the entire night

DJ can be a verb too just like party

For example party is a noun (a party) but can be used as a verb (to party) so partying is correct

So to DJ and DJing is fine

The english language gets changed around all the time, "for free" is technically incorrect, you dont get something for free, you get it free. Everyone seams to use "for free" all the time, do you have a problem with that too?
