just g ive your DL licence .. it doesnt hurt to try .. they'll either let you in or turn you away

You need a passport i was just there last week in buffalo

you can pay extra to rush a passport, but I still don't think it will be in time for the weekend.

DL should be ok, but bring a couple of pieces of evidence of where you live/work...business card, current pay stub, current phone bill...*something* to show where you live/work...why not err on the side of caution.

and don't mention "Lebanon" in any of your conversations, lol

You do not require a passport at this point in time to cross into the US if you are a Canadian citizen. However, they would prefer that you have one, and will often frown upon you if you do not present one.

i drive up to canada atleast once a month and noticed that the guys at the canadian border are pretty chilled out as compared to the ones on the american side... a couple of times ive just been asked whats the purpose of visit and been given the green light without even having to present my passport (and im indian) ...

citizenship of all in the car?
do you guys know each other?
purpose of visit? (say recreation for this one they get skeptical everytime i told them im going to visit friends)
how long you going to be in canada/america for?
what are you carrying with you in the car? - if you got luggage then they might ask you to pop open the trunk

i think a drivers licence should be fine although when i went up with a couple of friends who were american citizens with drivers licences ... they pulled us over and took as inside and asked them to recite the declaration of independence which ofcourse they didnt know ... lol funny stuff

I get over all the time with my driver's license...
