Its funny becasue people dont really like the Pionner 500 becasue of those reasons but i love it for whats its lacking.

well said mate, i own a 500 and have no probs at all, i love it, its simple, it has everything you need, ok the effects arnt the best, but who cares, effects arnt everything. i have no prob with the headphone thing, takes a while getting used to but theres no prob at all. i am very pleased with my 500 and would recommend it. if you like things simple that will do the job go for it, you wont regret it.
