I didn't even know that ... man I used to love Sublime a few years back ... learned to play the bass guitar just so I could play Sublime songs ... I was so gutted when that dude killed himself. I'll have to go and look for some of these Long Beach Dub Allstars now.

I think DUB means either an original or a remake by the original artist, sort of like a 'second version'

Kia Kaha wrote it best but to elabotate, a "DUB" is basically the original "hook" and B-line looped over and over without introducing new elements to the song.

In terms of dance music production, songs are generally started with a Dub (the main hook and b-line), it's the artist first crack at a song, usually after listening to the Dub, he/she begins to add new elements to the song to make it complete.
