U should buy a mixer for what you need him for!! U won't buy a sportscar if u have to drive throudh the woods every day!!!

If u just wanna use it in your bedroom, most mixers are good enough, even the not so expensive ones! If u wanna use it at big parites or in clubs, then u should buy something which will last long and has good quality! But if u play at parties, u will have the money to buy an expensive one!

I started out with a JB systems classic 3 (in my bedroom)Most people told me it was a crap mixer, but it still works great!! It is a simple 3 channel mixer, with a crossfader and low-med-high tone knobs! That's all you need! Beatmatchers and samplers are just toys!! I know that when i would use it to play more amplified, it would suck big time, but that's not why I needed it!

If you have the money, you should buy a Rodec mixer! Belgian quality!! And i am not saying it because i am from Belgium! They last almost a lifetime and have real good quality! There are 3-9channel mixers! Check it out at www.rodec.be

Do what you gotta do.

All i know is that i own a DJM600 and I luv it. There is no one out there that is going to change my mind. There's lots of peepz out there who will say likewise...but they might not even own one

Ive got a friend who spins on a Gemini mixer (home setup) and the sound is incredible. Then again i have other friends who spin on the 600 and its incredible as well.

its pmc270a not 275..

dont get me confused

I love my vestax pmc270a its a really good mixer. I would have gotten the pioneer 500, but its too overpriced and i coulnd afford it.

a pioneer 500 is $1000, and a vestax pmc270a is $650

hmm.... Unless you are spinning in clubs or raves, you don't really need the cool effects that the pioneers have.

Pioneer, Vestax, Allen&Heath and Rane mixers are all good.

we are talking about the new PCV series.. they are equipped with PCV faders that are good for 1 milliond fades...!
The PCV-275 is the replacement for the PMC-270A.

I would still buy the DJM-600..

cabal raises a good point dudes....i once had a gemini mixer and even though the quality is obviously less than others out there I made some of my best mixes just because i enjoyed using the thing so much (liked the layout and cue monitor xfader). At the end of the day when you buy a mixer the question is not how good are it's stats or is it better quality/has more fx/more knobs etc, it should just simply be: which one suits me the most ? if you think about what it is you need from a mixer and then go to shop and use the ones you're thinking of the one that "feels" best will be the one to go for everytime.
(just not a DJM600 (heheheh) !!!!only kidding!!!!!
PEACE.
